Job Description

Our client, the biopharmaceutical industry, is seeking a Process Engineer to join their team. As a Process Engineer, you will be part of the Manufacturing Support team supporting vaccine and monoclonal antibody (mAb) production. The ideal candidate will have analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative attitude which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Process Engineer

Location: Sanford, NC

Pay Range: $50-$60/hr

What's the Job?

• Provide technical support for large-scale vaccine and mAb manufacturing processes, including cell culture, fermentation, purification, and formulation.
• Monitor process performance using tools such as OSIsoft PI, statistical process control (SPC), and data analytics.
• Identify, investigate, and troubleshoot process deviations, non-conformances, and performance trends.
• Lead or support root cause investigations (RCIs) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
• Participate in or lead process improvement initiatives to enhance yield, reduce variability, and improve robustness.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in a biopharmaceutical, vaccine, or mAb manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of cell culture, filtration, chromatography, or formulation/fill-finish operations.
• Familiarity with GMP and regulatory compliance in a pharmaceutical manufacturing setting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
