• Experience with the administration, configuration, support and troubleshooting of Video surveillance systems and software
• IP cameras.
• Network video recorders

Job Description:

• Collaborate with the district Telecom/Physical Security team.
• Full-time/40 hours per week/no overtime requirement.
• Occasional evening or weekend work with flexible hours.
• Work start time is flexible with supervisor approval.
• Some telecommuting may be allowed.
• Office space, laptop and monitors will be provided.
• Office located at 501 N. Dixon St., Portland, Oregon, 97227.
• This position is funded until 2/28/26, with the possibility of being extended.

Primary Requirements:

• Two years experience with basic IP network troubleshooting
• Two years experience with Windows desktop OS.
• Dependable transportation for field service duties.
• Desire and ability to learn new systems and technologies.
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work with any district personnel regardless of position, race or sexual identification.

Preferred Requirements:

Experience with the administration, configuration, support and troubleshooting of the following hardware and software:

• Video surveillance systems and software.
• IP cameras.
• Network video recorders.
• ExacqVision software is a plus.
• Physical security access control systems and software.
• Kantech hardware and software is a plus.
• Video intercom systems.
• Windows server
• DNS
• DHCP

Work Duties:

• Support deployment of video cameras and NVRs to augment the existing fleet
• Update and track documentation
• DHCP reservations
• Configure switch ports
• Upgrade NVRs and Camera firmware/software
• Support district capital project teams
• Perform site visits to resolve tickets and to upgrade or test equipment.
• Monitor appropriate ticket queues, resolve or escalate as needed
• Online meetings for project and team collaboration.
• Attend ad-hoc and weekly TechOps training.
• Perform other duties depending on qualifications.
