Technical Project Manager - Integration & Commissioning (Ericsson/Nokia, Cell Sites).

Location: Dallas/US (extensive travel required) & Remote in India(No Travel Needed).

Who We’re Looking For:

Startech is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager (PM) to oversee Integration & Commissioning (I&C) projects for T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon cell sites . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Ericsson and Nokia equipment , deep understanding of wireless network deployments (5G, 4G/LTE, UMTS, CDMA) , and hands-on expertise in managing both field execution and remote integration coordination .

This role requires a mix of technical depth, leadership, and project management —supporting field engineers, troubleshooting escalations, ensuring compliance with customer standards, and driving successful on-time project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:


Project Management & Leadership:

  • Manage field teams performing installation, commissioning, and integration of Ericsson and Nokia equipment at T-Mobile cell sites.
  • Act as the primary technical liaison between deployment crews, engineering teams, and Nokia/ Ericsson PM’s
  • Ensure project milestones, safety requirements, and customer standards are met.
  • Prepare and submit daily reports, End-of-Day logs, and site completion packages .
  • Track asset usage, material consumption, and maintain inventory compliance.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting:

  • Provide remote and on-site technical guidance to field engineers on integration scopes.
  • Interpret RFDS, site drawings, and construction documents to ensure correct configuration.
  • Support software/script loading, configuration, and testing for system commissioning.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to RETs, fiber loss, VSWR, RSSI, DC power (-48V, +24V) , and other integration faults.
  • Coordinate with customer RICs during escalations to restore service quickly.


Integration & Testing:

  • Oversee commissioning of Ericsson 6630/6648/6651/6672, 5216 with DUW/DUS/DUG/XMU, AIR radios (4415/4424/4449/4460/6449/6488, AIR32), IXRE routers , and related systems.
  • Oversee commissioning of Nokia AirScale FSMF/FSME/FSM4, ABIA/ABIO/ASIA/ASIB/ASIK/ABIL modules, mid-band conversion scopes (AHFIG, AEHC, AAHF), IXRE routers, 7705 SAS/SAR routers .
  • Validate fiber handling, labeling, grounding, and market installation standards .
  • Conduct or oversee SRS, E911, and data call testing across GSM, UMTS, LTE, and 5G bands.

Required Skills & Experience:


Technical Expertise:

  • 4+ years’ experience in cell site integration and commissioning .
  • 2–4 years of hands-on Nokia OEM equipment integration .
  • 2–3 years of Ericsson integration & troubleshooting (6672, 6651, 6630/6648, AIR radios, IXRE).
  • Experience with Radio & antenna integration and configuration .
  • Solid knowledge of fiber, coax, RF, CAT5/6, T1 copper, and DC power systems .
  • Skilled in system testing, validation, and troubleshooting (Test & Turn-up).
  • Familiar with Customer closeout standards (COP, TALONVIEW/NDPD, labeling, asset tracking).


Project & Leadership Skills:

  • Proven ability to manage field teams and subcontractors across multiple projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (clear reporting, customer-facing updates).
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to support escalations.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment .


Other Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, or equivalent experience.
  • Available to travel up to 100% (regional and national travel) .
  • Willing to work nights, weekends, extended hours, and maintenance windows as needed.
  • Familiarity with asset management, warehouse inventory, and quality compliance .
  • Multi-OEM exposure (Samsung, Ericsson, Nokia) preferred.
  • Recent (past 6 months) experience with T-Mobile, AT&T or Verizon systems is a plus.
