Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Real Estate Manager to oversee and manage the real estate portfolio of our growing restaurant group. Based in Cypress, CA, this individual will play a key role in lease management, landlord relations, contract review, and licensing/permitting processes. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of commercial lease terms, excellent communication skills, and thrives in a fast-paced, private equity-backed hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

🏢 Lease & Contract Management

  • Review and analyze commercial leases, amendments, and related real estate documents.
  • Summarize and prepare executive-level reports and lease abstracts for C-suite review and approvals.
  • Manage critical lease dates, options, and obligations using lease database software (Trullion).

🤝 Landlord & Stakeholder Relations

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all landlord communications and lease negotiations.
  • Manage relationships with brokers, legal counsel, and third-party vendors as needed.

📄 Contract & Compliance Oversight

  • Review and understand terms and conditions of contracts related to real estate and operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all real estate and lease-related obligations.

🛠️ Licensing & Permits

  • Oversee and coordinate restaurant licensing and permitting processes for new and existing locations.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and municipal authorities to ensure timely approvals.

💬 Communication & Reporting

  • Clearly articulate real estate terms, risks, and implications to leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Prepare presentations, reports, and memos for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Legal Studies, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate or multi-unit restaurant real estate management.
  • Strong understanding of commercial lease terms, financial and legal implications.
  • Experience managing leases and critical dates via a lease management system (Trullion preferred).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and deadline-driven.
  • Experience working with or for private equity firms is a significant plus.
  • Hospitality or restaurant industry experience preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $90,000 – $115,000 annually, based on experience
  • Annual performance-based bonus eligibility
