Job Description

In this role, you will represent the client and work closely with the project's Marine Warranty Surveyor (MWS) to oversee all MWS-related activities. These include the planning and installation of foundations (FOUs), transition pieces (TPs), wind turbine generators (WTGs), offshore substations (OSS), and inter-array/export cables. The successful candidate will ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of offshore construction work scopes in accordance with the project schedule and budget.

This is a critical leadership position requiring close collaboration with package managers, marine coordinators, contractors, and the Health & Safety team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary liaison to the Marine Warranty Surveyor, overseeing day-to-day MWS-related activities on behalf of the client.

  • Ensure safe and effective transport, storage, and installation of offshore components in line with project schedule and budget.

  • Support Package Managers in ensuring contractor compliance with contract scope and project execution strategies.

  • Coordinate the timely submission, review, and approval of marine warranty documentation.

  • Work with the Health & Safety Manager and Marine Warranty Surveyor to conduct inspections, audits, and emergency response drills for offshore operations.

  • Ensure all turnover documentation is delivered per contract requirements and distributed to appropriate stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with the client's Insurance & Risk team to facilitate third-party technical reviews and MWS approvals for high-risk, high-value marine activities.

  • Participate in site walkdowns and readiness reviews.

  • Prepare and maintain progress and activity status reports.

  • Assist in developing and coordinating detailed offshore construction schedules.

  • Proactively identify, escalate, and resolve interface or operational issues across work packages and contractors.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in offshore construction and/or commissioning projects.

  • At least 5 years of experience in offshore wind construction environments.

  • Relevant offshore experience working on vessels with Marine Warranty Surveyors and/or ECPI contractors.

  • Strong knowledge of marine, mechanical, electrical, and control systems.

  • Familiarity with marine safety systems and offshore construction best practices.

  • Previous experience serving as or working directly with a Marine Warranty Surveyor.

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and reports.

  • Proven leadership in managing multiple concurrent work scopes.

  • Strong team collaboration and conflict resolution skills.

  • Background in construction contract administration and compliance.

Additional Requirements:

  • Valid GWO (Global Wind Organisation) certification.

  • Capable of working at heights and in offshore environments.

  • Willingness to travel offshore for extended durations.

  • Committed to maintaining a strong safety culture.
