This is a per-diem position teaching community classes at Shiley Fitness Center on Torrey Pines Road in La Jolla.

As an exercise instructor you will:

• teach safe, enjoyable exercise classes (water/land) to all levels following established fitness industry guidelines.
• You will also be responsible for tailoring classes to individual's needs, maintain attendance records, stereo/aerobic/aquatic equipment.
• Assist in program promotions, marketing and education of members and staff.

• Follow exercise guidelines established by ACSM, ACE, IFPA, NASM, NCSF, NESTA

Required:

• 1 year experience working in the capacity as an individual or group exercise instructor.
• American Heart Association BLS 
• an approved Personal Training, Group Fitness Instructor certification, or other formal training in area of expertise.

Preferred :

• Degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Fitness, or related field .

Position Pay Range: $24.46-$29.84/hour
