Junior Data Scientist

As a Junior Data Scientist, you’ll work with cross-functional teams to design and build scalable ML pipelines, support model development, and contribute to fraud and identity analytics solutions. You’ll learn from experienced mentors while applying your technical expertise in real-world scenarios.

Responsibilities:

• Build and automate data pipelines to support machine learning workflows, including data sourcing, cleansing, and transformation.
• Prepare and analyze large datasets to support model training, testing, and deployment.
• Translate business needs into analytics and ML solutions in collaboration with internal stakeholders and senior team members.
• Work with Technology and Data & Analytics teams to enhance fraud and identity ML features.
• Support the full ML lifecycle, from data engineering to model implementation and tuning.
• Clearly communicate technical findings and collaborate across teams.

Details:

This is a 6-month contract with a global leader, based in Alpharetta, GA. This position is hybrid — candidates must be local to the Atlanta/Alpharetta area and able to work onsite 3 days per week . Candidates should thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate initiative.

Compensation & Benefits:

W2 pay: $50–$57/hour. Visionaire Partners offers W2 contractors full benefits, including 401k (4% match), medical/dental/vision, life insurance, disability, FSA, and more.

Required Skills:

• Master’s degree in a quantitative field (CS, ML, Stats, Math, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with Python and SQL
• Understanding of core ML concepts and statistical methods
• Strong communication skills

Preferred:

• Familiarity with GCP
• Knowledge of ETL/data engineering practices
