Position Overview

Delwest is seeking a seasoned  Construction Manager to lead the execution of multiple residential and land development projects. This individual will oversee all phases of construction and be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, on budget, and to Delwest’s high-quality standards. The ideal candidate will have deep construction experience across asset classes, exceptional leadership and communication skills, and a strong understanding of the regulatory and risk management environment in Colorado.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of construction across multifamily, single-family, and land development projects
• Manage project teams, including internal staff and third-party contractors
• Oversee and negotiate construction contracts, including detailed scopes of work and cost structures
• Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and cost controls
• Provide regular and accurate project status reports to executive leadership
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure cohesive project execution
• Enforce quality control and safety standards across all job sites
• Manage project risk, including compliance with building codes and CDARA notice requirements
• Lead by example, fostering a collaborative and hard-working team culture
• Resolve problems proactively to avoid project delays or cost overruns

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (Master’s degree and industry certifications preferred)
• Minimum 10 years of progressive construction experience, including both field and office roles
• Proven experience managing residential and land development projects in Colorado
• Strong background in budgeting, scheduling, cost management, and contract negotiations
• Effective leadership and team management experience, including oversight of Project Managers
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Strong working knowledge of construction codes, safety standards, and risk mitigation strategies
• Established network and collaborative relationships with architects, engineers, and subcontractors
• Familiarity with CDARA requirements and legal considerations during development
